An update from DIRECTV Stream that came out a week ago removed a beloved feature for Roku users: The ability to immediately pull up the TV guide by hitting down on the Roku remote. DIRECTV said on Thursday that a fix is here.

“A fix has been released for accessing the guide which started going out to customers today and should automatically download when the device is in standby within the next 24-48 hours,” the company posted on the DirectvStream subreddit earlier today.

Alternatively, the company said that users can perform a manual update by hitting the star button on your Roku remote when highlighting DIRECTV Stream app and selecting “Check for updates.”

The DIRECTV update annoyed some users who complained about the new home screen, and the lack of a way to quickly bypass it with the usual shortcut of the down button was an added inconvenience. One user noted the problem as early as a week ago, with DIRECTV stepping in to stay it was looking into the issue.

“We noticed the gap this week, updated and wanted to share with users it had been addressed,” said a DIRECTV spokesman. “It’s always good to see our users engaged and address any concerns they might have.”

The early comments on the thread suggest that the update isn’t 100% effective, with some users still noting that the down button shortcut still doesn’t work.
