If you are a DIRECTV customer, including customers on DIRECTV STREAM, you will start seeing a new user interface start looking out today. DIRECTV has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that this rollout will start today and continue through the next few months into early 2024.
DIRECTV says that starting today, September 13, 2023, DIRECTV will begin introducing new features for DIRECTV customers using latest Gemini and Gemini Air devices and will be extending support to streaming players like Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more in the near future.
Here is what DIRECTV says will start rolling out today:
- One of the big changes will include a simple left-rail menu, a new more visually appealing homepage app carousels, and shortcuts to the most popular features.
- This is part of our focus on reinvesting in a more content-forward user experience making it easier and faster to get customers to their favorite shows, news, movies and sports, whether they’re available directly from DIRECTV or through a 3rd party platform.
- These features will be available to all DIRECTV customers with the latest device, which is available to new and current customers, in early Oct.
- We’ll continue to roll out new features through the end of the year and early next.
