Recently a company called Butterfly Saves reached out to Cord Cutters News asking us to check out their service. We get many requests like this, but Butterfly Saves stood out. As with TV one of our main goals here is to help you save money. Just like we did a few months ago with Honey today we want to recommend a new service.
With Butterfly Saves you can buy gift codes and save $5 off your order on a long list of sites including Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, and Kohl’s. You can also use their plugin to earn cash back on a growing list of websites.
After looking into the service and talking with the Butterfly Saves CEO, we agreed to team up with them because cord cutting is about saving money.
Why team up with Butterflysaves.com? That is simple: if you shop online at stores such as Best Buy, Staples, Walmart, and others once a month you can save $5 off your order. If you do that twice a month you will save $10—enough money to pay for Hulu, Amazon, or most of Netflix.
Is this all legal? We asked the CEO and it all comes down to this as posted on their website “Great question! The retailer pays us a commission when you shop at their online store and we give it to you even before you shop at the retail store! How cool is that!”
No expiration. Not valid on gift cards. Codes are single use codes, meaning they may not be combined with other Codes in the same transaction. You can only redeem one Butterfly eCode per day. If you spend less than the Cash Back amount in your eCode, the entire balance will remain in your account until you make a qualified purchase at the online retailer in an amount equal to or greater than the Cash Back amount in your Account.
We asked the CEO, Cary Chessick, about refunds. According to Chessick, they will refund anyone, for any reason, unless the code has already been used.
Give it a try the next time you want to buy a new Roku or other online order and save $5.
