Recently the premium sports streaming service DAZN announced it’s kicking off a new partnership with Snapchat with two new shows on the platform, as well as Stories covering boxing’s biggest events.

“DAZN Fight Week” will premiere today October 28, 2019 on Snapchat’s Discovery page. According to a press release, new episodes will air every day in the week leading up to Canelo Alvarez’s Nov. 2 fight – which will see the middleweight king jump two weight classes to challenge Sergey Kovalev for his WBO Light Heavyweight belt. Episodes will include Canelo’s career highlights as well as cutdown versions of 40 DAYS: CANELO VS. KOVALEV – the latest installment of DAZN’s behind-the-scenes fight prep docuseries that is executive produced by LeBron James, Maverick Carter, and Carlos Vela.

On November 2, “DAZN Fight Night” will premiere on the picture messaging app and feature live updates and highlights from the week. This will be the first time Snapchat will have in-progress premier boxing highlights on its platform.

“The DAZN Snapchat slate will bring fight fans closer to the action while allowing us to showcase the sport to an entirely new audience,” said Jamie Horowitz, EVP Content for DAZN North America. “These Shows were specifically developed to leverage the Snapchat platform and highlight the sport’s most thrilling moments. Viewers can expect everything from quick cut highlights on fight night to exclusive access from a fighter’s locker room moments before a bout.”

After this week’s Canelo VS. Kovalev fight, both “DAZN Fight Week” and “DAZN Fight Night” will continue in the week leading up to the rematch of the YouTube personalities, KSI vs. Logan Paul on November 9. New episodes will air beginning November 4 and follow the same “Fight Week” outline of showing highlights and behind-the-scenes action gearing up for the match.

DAZN’s Our Story coverage will debut on fight night, Saturday, November 9, with featured content by Snapchat users and broadcast-quality match highlights.

This is the second partnership DAZN has entered into recently. As we recently reported the sports streaming service had teamed up with Pluto TV to offer free boxing coverage.
