Starting today, anime enthusiasts have a new way to access their favorite series with the launch of the Crunchyroll app on Comcast’s entertainment devices. The app is now available on Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and Xumo Stream Box, offering subscribers access to Crunchyroll’s massive library of over 25,000 hours of anime content across more than 2,000 titles.

This upcoming fall, Crunchyroll is delivering a robust lineup of over 40 new anime series, including much-anticipated titles like Dragon Ball DAIMA, BLUE LOCK, and the 25th anniversary season of One Piece.

Expanding Access to Anime

The Crunchyroll app’s launch on Xumo TVs extends its reach even further, making it available in over 8,000 retail locations nationwide, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and BJs.

Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, shared his excitement about the collaboration:
“We’re thrilled to bring Crunchyroll to Comcast’s entertainment devices, expanding the availability of our extensive anime library for Xfinity and Xumo customers. Whether they’re longtime anime enthusiasts or newcomers, viewers can now easily discover and enjoy our vast catalog of series and films. This collaboration marks a significant step in making anime even more accessible to fans across the U.S.”

Sudhir Muralidhar, Vice President of Product and Platform Experiences at Comcast, echoed this enthusiasm, noting anime’s surging popularity:
“With the launch of Crunchyroll on our platforms, customers can now enjoy some of the best and most-popular anime programming directly alongside all the other movies and TV shows they love. Anime has been exploding in popularity here in the U.S., so Crunchyroll is a great addition to the growing catalog of streaming apps available across our platforms.”

Seamless Integration

Users can easily access the Crunchyroll app by saying “Crunchyroll” into their Xfinity voice remote or by navigating to the app menu on their device.

This partnership between Crunchyroll and Comcast underscores the growing demand for anime in the U.S., making it easier than ever for fans to enjoy their favorite shows and discover new ones from the comfort of their own homes.
