COZI TV is continuing its push to become a destination for free, over-the-air comedy, announcing the addition of Two and a Half Men and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper to its lineup beginning in May.
The NBCUniversal Local multicast network said it has acquired the digital broadcast rights to both series, further strengthening a schedule that already leans heavily on recognizable sitcoms.
‘Two and a Half Men’ Gets a Marathon Launch
The bigger addition comes from Two and a Half Men, which will air as a digital broadcast exclusive on COZI TV. The network will debut the series with a multi-day marathon titled “Two and a Half Day Two and a Half Men!” starting Saturday, May 2.
The marathon will feature 48 episodes from the show’s first two seasons and run through Sunday, May 3, continuing into Monday, May 4. After that, the series will move into a regular time slot, airing weekdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and Sundays from 8 p.m. to midnight beginning May 4.
Created by Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn, the sitcom originally aired from 2003 to 2015 and produced 262 episodes across 12 seasons. It stars Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, with later seasons featuring Ashton Kutcher.
‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper’ Joins Morning Block
Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper will also debut on COZI TV on May 4, airing weekdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET.
The series stars Mark Curry as a former NBA player turned substitute teacher living in Oakland. The show ran from 1992 to 1997 for five seasons and 101 episodes and also featured Holly Robinson Peete and Dawnn Lewis, with appearances by Raven-Symoné.
COZI TV Continues Building a Free Sitcom Hub
COZI TV has steadily added to its comedy lineup in recent months, including The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Malcolm & Eddie, The Steve Harvey Show, and George Lopez. The network already airs a range of familiar titles such as The King of Queens, Frasier, Married… with Children, Roseanne, and The Nanny.
Available for free over the air and through services like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Fubo, COZI TV continues to position itself as a low-cost option for viewers looking to stream or watch live TV without adding another subscription.
With another high-profile sitcom joining as an exclusive, the network’s strategy of leaning into familiar, bingeable content remains firmly in place.
