Corus Entertainment has launched a television package made up of 12 networks for Amazon Prime Channels in Canada. The package includes entertainment, drama, lifestyle, and kid friendly channels with both live and on-demand content.
This is a big move for both Corus and Canadian cord cutters, as the company previously only had the Global TV app which required a login and password from a cable subscription to access the content.
The 12 networks in the package for Amazon Prime in Canada include:
- Global
- Food Network Canada
- HGTV Canada
- W Network
- History
- Adult Swim
- Slice
- Showcase
- National Geographic
- Teletoon
- Treehouse
- YTV
“Canadians rely on Corus for powerhouse brands and hit series, and STACKTV is another way we’re working with new distributors to deliver our diverse portfolio of premium broadcast content to new audiences,” said Doug Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Corus Entertainment said in the announcement.
The StackTV package will be available to Amazon Prime members in Canada for $12.99 per month.
