Cutting the cable connection to coax connector illustrating retired people cancelling cable TV serviceRecently Cord Cutters News has seen crazy growth after two months of record-setting traffic. This week we set a single-day record for most visitors.

To keep up with the growth and to help more people become cord cutters, we have made a few changes.

Cord Cutting 101 Guide Updated

This week we launched a new version of our Cord Cutting 101 Guide. With a fresh new look and fully updated for 2017 we hope our guide helps more people ditch pay TV.

Next up on our plate is an international version. Although the majority of our readers are from the United States, we have a growing number of international readers. Soon we will have 101 guides posted for other countries.

Comments

When a site starts to get millions of readers that often results in trolls and other troublemakers. We even have had recent issues with other sites spamming us in an effort to steal readers. We shortly debated about removing our Comments section, but we decided to keep it.

To keep our Comments section clean, spam free, and family friendly, we have implemented a new system of automated and manual reviews. If you find your comment missing, it is likely being held for review. We are also cracking down by doing more bans. If you find yourself banned from the Comments, please use the Contact Us page to contact an admin.

Just a reminder of the rules. Be polite to your fellow commenters. No spam or self-promotion (spamming your site, YouTube, etc.) and affiliate links will be allowed. Comments off-topic and non-constructive will be removed. (We reserve the right to remove any comment for any reason.)

Weekly Roundups & Daily Newsletter

Recently many readers have been commenting on the growing number of posts and how hard it is to keep on top of everything happening in cord cutting. (Something we fully understand.) So we have started to test out the idea of a daily Monday through Friday newsletter.

This would be a new newsletter in addition to the current one we sent out. So you would have to opt in by signing up again for the new daily newsletter. Don’t worry, our weekly recap newsletter is not going anywhere.

Would you be open to a daily newsletter? Monday through Friday we would send out a roundup of the previous day’s cord cutting news, helping cord cutters make sure they never miss out on any important news.

Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below. We would love your feedback.

More to Come Soon…

I also have three big projects to improve Cord Cutters News in the works. For now I want to keep them under wraps until they are ready to go public.
