Comcast has made sports a big focus for its Peacock streaming service. Now, it seems to be paying off as viewers are turning in to watch sports on Peacock.
According to NBCUniversal, Peacock averaged 2.8 million viewers for the NFL’s opening game last Thursday between the Detroit Lions and the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday night for the first Sunday Night NBC game of the season, Peacock averaged 1.8 million viewers.
Peacock will also have two exclusive NFL games this year, with a regular season game and an NFL playoff game later this year. This comes as the NFL has been working with more streaming services to offer exclusive access to some of its games.
Peacock is available to stream on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or any other compatible device that supports the service. Subscribers have two plans to choose from: Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus.
