Is there any other minor inconvenience that is more annoying than losing internet in 2023? Comcast wants to address that in their newly upgraded modems and routers that will make sure you are connected even if the power goes out or the internet goes out.

Recently Comcast announced their “Storm-Ready Wi-Fi” that will offer a battery backup encase the power goes out, and a cellular backup encase Comcast’s network goes down.

This is a great way to make sure you can keep working even if your home internet is down. Not only that but your battery-powered security cameras and other devices like your phone or tablet can keep working even if the power goes down, according to a report from Light Reading.

Comcast has also announced that these new modems will come with a “Wi-Fi Boost Guarantee” that will guarantee a level of Wi-Fi performance that will make sure you can game without issues.

We don’t know which company will power the cellular backup, but Comcast has worked with Verizon for their wireless offerings in the past.

Comcast says they will release more about these new gateways at a later date. Hopefully, soon these new modems and routers will hit the market for Comcast customers who need to make sure they are always online.
