Comcast might be planning to drop the Family Entertainment Television network, or FETV. This comes as the network was added to Comcast back in 2019. Now though it seems that counteract is about to come to an end as the two networks struggle to reach a deal to keep the channel on Comcast.
FETV confirmed to Cord Cutters News that it had “received notice of termination in certain markets.”
A Cord Cutters News reader originally reached out to us and said they’d spotted a scrolling message on FETV that said Comcast may drop the network. A few Twitter posts were shared by viewers in Central California and Houston, Texas who allegedly heard similar news and are urging Comcast to keep the channel on the air.
Currently, FETV’s website doesn’t list a channel number for Comcast Xfinity and tells customers to check their local listings.
FETV features classic programming like Leave it to Beaver, Bewitched, and Perry Mason.
Comcast wasn’t immediately available for comment.
Here is how FETV describes the channel:
FETV is home to a 24-hour schedule of beloved and timeless television series and movies carried across cable, satellite and virtual platforms. Our goal is to entertain our audience with quality TV shows and movies that provide … real. family. entertainment.tm
