Today Comcast announced new cheaper internet packages for students heading off to college. Offering fast WiFi at budget-friendly prices, Xfinity’s latest student-focused promotion, launched on this month, gives college students a reason to look at Comcast instead of 5G Home Internet plans.
Xfinity’s back-to-school offer provides university students in Comcast markets access to the nation’s largest and fastest WiFi network, according to company claims. The standout deal includes 1 Gig speeds for $50 per month for one year, complete with the Xfinity Gateway and unlimited data. This package is designed to handle demanding tasks like video conferencing, streaming, and online gaming, ensuring students stay connected for both work and play. Additionally, the 1 Gig plan comes with two years of Peacock Premium and $200 in gift cards for Uber Eats and Amazon, adding value for movie nights, late-night snacks, or last-minute textbook purchases.
For students with varying needs and budgets, Xfinity offers four tiers as part of this promotion. The 300 Mbps plan, priced at $40 per month, includes $100 in Amazon and Uber Eats gift cards. The 500 Mbps plan, at $45 per month, also provides $100 in gift cards. The 1 Gbps plan, as mentioned, is $50 per month with $200 in gift cards and Peacock Premium. For those needing even faster speeds, the 2 Gbps plan costs $70 per month and includes the same $200 gift card bundle and Peacock Premium subscription. All plans come with the Xfinity Gateway, which offers cybersecurity protection, the ability to connect hundreds of devices, and advanced features manageable via the Xfinity app.
Beyond home connectivity, Xfinity Mobile enhances the student experience by offering seamless access to the nation’s most reliable 5G network and extensive WiFi hotspot coverage. As part of the promotion, every Xfinity Internet package includes an unlimited line of Xfinity Mobile for one year. The recently introduced WiFi PowerBoost feature ensures speeds up to 1 Gig when connected to WiFi, whether at home or on campus.
