Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled a new free, ad-supported channel titled CNN Originals. This latest offering from the media giant features a diverse lineup of original programming, bringing some of CNN’s most popular shows to viewers at no cost.
The newly launched channel includes a variety of acclaimed programs such as Amanpour: Sex and Love Around the World, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Chasing Life with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Diana, Lincoln: Divided We Stand, Soundtracks: Songs That Defined History, This Is Life with Lisa Ling, The Wonder List with Bill Weir, and United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell.
“We’re very happy to expand CNN’s FAST portfolio with the new compelling offering of a CNN Originals channel, bringing some of the very best, award-winning long-form content in the business to audiences in this format,” Said Phill Nelson, VP of CNN Internationa to The Hollywood Reporter.
This move is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s broader strategy to expand its portfolio of free ad-supported channels. The CNN Originals channel will be accessible across several free streaming platforms, including Plex, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to reach a wider audience and diversify its content distribution.
The introduction of CNN Originals aligns with Warner Bros. Discovery’s ongoing initiative to cater to the growing demand for accessible, no-cost streaming options while leveraging its extensive library of high-quality content.
