In a press release today, CLEO TV announced that the channel will now be available to Philo subscribers.
CLEO TV is a lifestyle and entertainment channel for Millennial and Gen X women of color. Content on the channel focuses on lifestyle topics like cooking, home design, relationships, and documentary style series. Launched in January 2019, the channel celebrates iconic women throughout history and provides content to challenge the stereotypes of modern women.
TV One and CLEO TV General Manager Michelle Rice said “The Philo agreement marks CLEO TV’s first OTT deal and fits our strategy to widely distribute content to our target audience across multiple distribution platforms and screens.”
The addition of CLEO TV is another step toward bringing more diverse content to Philo viewers.
“We built Philo to be the best TV experience available and with the addition of CLEO TV, this is one more way we can reach that goal,” said Andrew McCollum, CEO of Philo.
Philo viewers can watch original series like cooking shows New Soul Kitchen and Just Eats with Chef JJ. Home and lifestyle shows include Living By Design with Jake and Jazz, along with short-form series Lens of Culture. There are also scripted series including the Daytime Emmy nominated digital series Giant.
