Cinedigm and Asia’s Fantawild Partner to Launch Animated Streaming Service

Cinedigm has announced a partnership with Fantawild, one of Asia’s top animation producers, to launch a global streaming service featuring the production company’s original content. The channel is set to launch sometime this year and will be available on AVOD and linear channels, with select programming to be featured on OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon and more.

This is the latest in Cinedigm’s myriad of new ventures just this year, following its most recent announcement of a lifestyle network launch and a new channel distribution partnership.

Fantawild’s top animation property is its Boonie Bears series which has extended globally into learning apps and a line of toys and other merchandise. Fantawild has series broadcast on 200 TV stations reaching 300 billion viewers, as well as distribution on media giants such as Nickelodeon, Disney, Sony, Netflix, Hulu, and Discovery Kids.

In addition to being an animation giant, Fantawild is also China’s largest theme park operator with 29 parks currently in operation and 10 more underway. The company is a huge tourist attractor for China and draws in more than 50 million visitors per year.
