CBS has announced that they’ve launched a 24/7 news service for the Denver area, the next city in ViacomCBS’ plan to bring the service to 13 markets across the country. This service will cover news produced by KCNC-TV. The CBSN Denver features anchored programming, coverage of live breaking news events in the region, as well as an extensive library of local news content that will be available for on-demand viewing.

“CBS 4 does a terrific job of ‘covering Colorado first.’ As the state prepares to hold its first presidential primary in two decades, this is a perfect time to broaden the reach of the station’s award-winning news coverage by launching CBSN Denver,” said Peter Dunn, President, CBS Television Stations. “The response to our first six launches is exceeding our expectations, and we look forward to seeing this trend continue in Denver and the six other markets where we will be rolling out these OTT services in the near future.”

“All of us here at CBS 4 are excited to have this tremendous opportunity to serve the rising demand for streaming news content by debuting CBSN Denver,” said Walt DeHaven, Vice President and General Manager, KCNC-TV. “Having the ability to provide our coverage of local and state news to viewers here in Colorado and across the country whenever and wherever they want is something we are embracing as a key driver of our future success.”

Viewers in the Denver area will be able to watch through CBSN, on CBSNews.com, and on the CBS News apps on their mobile devices, along with through www.CBSDenver.com and the CBS Local mobile app.

Previous cities to get a CBSN platform include New York Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Minnesota, and Philadelphia. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Miami, Sacramento, and Baltimore are scheduled to join the list

These local services are ad-supported. Eventually, they will be added to CBS All Access live lineups in their respective markets.
