At the end of the 2024 MLB season Bally Sports RSNs will need a new name as their deal with Bally Sports will end. Now, according to a report from Bloomberg, FanDuel is in talks to become the new name of Bally Sports RSNs.

Diamond Sports Group, the parent company of Bally Sports, is still looking for a final deal to get it out of bankruptcy. Bally Sports found itself in over $8 billion in debt and is fighting for a way to get out of bankruptcy. A new naming deal with FanDuel could bring in some much-needed cash.

Exact details of the deal are unknown right now.

Bally Sports reached renewal deals with DIRECTV and Spectrum, but they have been unable to reach a deal with Comcast. This has resulted in Comcast’s Xfinity customers losing access to the Bally Sports RSNs.

Bally Sports claims that Comcast wants to move Bally Sports to a higher, more expensive TV package in with this new TV deal.

Bally Sports’ last naming rights deal reportedly brought in about $88 million in fees over the life of the contract. It is unknown whether it can get the same deal again, but even a lower number would bring in much needed cash to the regional sports network.
