AT&T Officially Kills Off The U-Verse Brand

For about a year now there have been rumors that AT&T will be killing off the U-Verse brand, but now it is official.

Today AT&T announced that the U-Verse brand will be replaced by AT&T Internet. You will likely see the branding at a few places for a few more weeks, but by Monday, July 10, 2017, AT&T plans to fully rebrand everything as AT&T Internet and AT&T Phone. No mention was made of U-Verse TV.

AT&T says this move will give it consistent branding and seems to be part of a bigger effort to push the AT&T name.

Recently it was also announced that AT&T’s Root Sports Network that it purchased with DIRECTV will be renamed AT&T Sports Net.

If you have U-Verse Internet and phone, no need to worry because they will still work. What you will likely notice is your billing will change to AT&T Internet and AT&T Phone. So have no worry everything will keep working smoothly.

Overall it seems AT&T is slowly consolidating its brands after the purchase of DIRECTV. This effort will help AT&T to have fewer brands competing with each other.
