AT&T CEO John Stankey has confirmed that a CNN+ streaming service is being developed. Alex Weprin from The Hollywood Reporter shared the news on Twitter, quoting Stankey as saying “There’s been some rumors… about us launching a direct-to-consumer, CNN Plus news product, that will in fact occur. We’ll keep pushing ahead with those things.”

Rumors about a standalone CNN streaming service have been circulating, with Wall Street Journal noting that the service has been called CNN+ internally. Stankey’s comments at The Economic Club in Washington seem to confirm the name.

A source for The Hollywood Reporter shared last week that the new service would include both live and on demand programming with shows hosted by familiar faces like Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon, along with new hosts.

News of CNN being available through its own streaming service comes after a WarnerMedia and Discovery deal that will combine video assets under a new company called Warner Bros. Discovery.
