AT&T $15 TV Service Is Once Again Accepting New Customers

Earlier this week AT&T shut down signups for its $15 a month TV service AT&T Watch TV. The service has been all but hidden for most of the last few months as AT&T has not been marketing it. With the launch of AT&T TV, it seemed that AT&T had decided to kill off AT&T Watch TV by no longer accepting new subscribers. Now AT&T has confirmed that as of yesterday they are once again accepting new customers.

It has been reported for some time now that AT&T was working on killing off AT&T Watch TV. AT&T recently removed it from its Unlimited and More Plans. It was also replaced by HBO Max as an option for wireless customers looking for free entertainment.

What caused AT&T to backtrack on shutting down signups is unknown. Earlier this week AT&T also shut down online signups for U-Verse TV. Right now, if you want U-Verse TV you have to call AT&T, and reportedly AT&T phone agents are aggressively pushing AT&T TV over U-Verse TV.

AT&T confirmed this week that they are no longer advertising AT&T TV NOW and AT&T Watch TV.

AT&T has also confirmed to Cord Cutters News that AT&T TV and HBO Max are their focus. It seems that AT&T wants to force as many TV customers over to them as possible even if that means downplaying their other TV services.
