Apple’s AirPlay 2 & HomeKit Are Coming to LG & Vizio TVs

Just a day after Samsung announced that iTunes and AirPlay 2 would be coming to their TVs now LG is also getting AirPlay 2 support. Soon you will be able to use AirPlay to cast to your LG TV from iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices.

Sadly unlike Samsung TVs there will be no iTunes support on 2019 LG TVs. Details are still very thin on this deal and LG has not confirmed what older models if any will be getting AirPlay support. Hopefully, this means at least with AirPlay LG TVs will support Apple’s new streaming services.

Vizio TVs will also be getting HomeKit support and AirPlay 2 but no report of iTunes for Vizio.

This is breaking news and we will update this story as we learn more.

Correction AirPlay support will be coming to Vizio TVs.
