Apple is continuing with plans to offer services in bundled packages, according to a new report from Bloomberg. Sources tell Bloomberg the bundles are being called “Apple One” and are being designed to drive subscriptions to multiple services.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard about the potential for Apple services being offered in bundles. In November 2019, we shared a report that Apple was considering bundling Apple TV+, News+, and Apple Music as soon as this year. In June this year, the rumors continued when 9to5 Mac reported that the iOS 13.5.5 beta code mentioned a “bundle offer” and talk of discounted prices on Apple services picked up.
Now, we’re getting more information from Apple sources, including discussion of different tiers for the bundled services. A basic tier would reportedly include Apple TV+ and Apple Music, while more expensive tiers would include services like Apple Arcade, Apple news+, and extra iCloud storage.
The Bloomberg report also includes information about a new fitness subscription that hasn’t yet launched. The service will reportedly be available in a higher-end bundle and will offer virtual classes from Peloton and Nike.
The bundles will offer discounts on services from $2-$5 per month, varying by package, and will be geared toward those using Apple’s family sharing service, allowing up to six accounts per service.
