America’s favorite football coach tops TVision’s Power Score charts for the third week in a row. AppleTV’s Ted Lasso outranked the first season of Amazon’s Citadel and the debut season of Paramount+’s The Family Stallone as the most-watched series for the week of May 22nd, 2023.

Ted Lasso is a comedy-drama about a U.S. college football coach, played by Jason Sudeikis, who heads to England to lead a struggling English soccer team, A.F.C Richmond, that is less than thrilled about it.

The series premiered in 2020 and quickly grew in popularity as Ted struggled to make the switch from coaching football to soccer. What began as an NBC Sports marketing gimmick quickly developed into a heartwarmingly hilarious yet powerfully moving fan favorite, winning a Golden Globe Award, a Writers Guild of America Award, as well as a Peabody Award. Ted Lasso is still a big hit with fans at the conclusion of its third season.

TVision’s Power Score looks at a number of variables to determine which shows draw in the most viewers and keep their attention. The Power Score crunches the numbers covering 1,000 apps to check the amount of time each program is available throughout a season and how much time audiences pay attention to shows. TVision’s Power Score also takes into consideration the reach of both the program and the apps it’s available on.
