Apple TV 4K users are finding that their devices are no longer supporting Dolby Vision HDR. According to reports from Mac Rumors, those with Apple TV 4K devices are posting on message boards and social media saying that both new shows and those that were previously in Dolby Vision HDR are affected.

Apple TV+ is still showing the Dolby Vision HDR Support label on the summaries of shows, including The Morning Show and For All Mankind, but users are reporting that these are among the shows being affected. Losing Dolby Vision HDR support can cause a picture to look dark or distort the colors.

As Mac Rumors notes, some are asking if this is an Apple TV bug affecting the source content, but it’s more likely that Apple took support away deliberately while they work out an issue with supporting Dolby Vision.

While many shows are being affected by the loss of Dolby Vision HDR, it isn’t a problem affecting the entire content library. Some shows, including Dickinson, are still streaming in Dolby Vision HDR.
