Today, the New York Times reported that Apple is in talks to become the exclusive home to a new tournament that FIFA is working on for 2025 in the United States.

This deal would be on top of the $2.5 billion Apple already paid MLS to become the new streaming home of MLS and League Cup games on Apple TV+.

The deal is reportedly valued at around $1 billion lower than the $4 billion FIFA reportedly first wanted. The new tournament will happen in the United States next summer. Details are still thin but the deal would see Apple stream the games, likely in a similar way to its MLS Apple TV+ deal
