In Comcast’s Q3 earnings call, the company announced they’ve made a deal with Apple to bring the Apple TV app to Comcast’s Xfinity platforms. That means Apple TV+ will be available on the Xfinity X1, Flex, XClass TV and Sky Glass platforms for the first time.
Users will also be able to subscribe to channels through the Apple TV app, including Showtime, Starz, AMC Plus, Paramount Plus, and more. Comcast will also allow access to other subscription features on the Apple TV App like Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.
“Our importance to the streaming universe will continue to grow,” Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said on the call. “Certainly the Apple announcement today is another iteration of that.”
In addition to Apple devices, the Apple TV app is currently available on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast with Android TVs including Google TV, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and TVs from LG, Sony, Samsung and Vizio.
