Apple on Tuesday sent out invites to its second fall product showcase, this one titled “Scary Fast,” which is expected to bring new Macs on October 30.
The event could show off several new Macs, including a refresh of its 24-inch iMac, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, as well as the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro. It’s also slated to occur three days before its quarterly earnings report.
The invites come amid reports that inventory for MacBook Pros and iMacs have been running low, and with some models, like the iMac, not having gotten a refresh in nearly two and a half years.
The current lineup of MacBook Pros run on the M2 processor family, so Apple could potentially move to the next-generation M3 line. That could also be the case for an iMac, which still runs on the M1 processor.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman on Monday took to X to post his prediction for a Mac event. He noted that the 14 and 16-inch Pro models could see an upgrade and “minor improvements to displays.”
