Today, Apple released two new products to its lineup – a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iPad Pro, both powered by the new M5 chip. Apple says the new devices are faster, with better storage, and have a longer battery life.
The new additions to Apple’s fall product lineup, following the iPhone 17 and Apple Watch Series 11 models announced in September, are available now for pre-order.
14-Inch MacBook
Here are some of the features and upgrades with the new MacBook Pro model:
- Faster and more efficient CPU, an enhanced Neural Engine, and higher memory bandwidth
- Next-generation GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core, delivering up to 3.5x the AI performance and 1.6x faster graphics
- Battery life of up to 24 hours
- Faster SSD performance than the previous generation for tasks like importing RAW image files or exporting large videos
- Liquid Retina XDR display with a nano-texture option
- 12MP Center Stage camera
- Six-speaker sound system

With its amazing performance, extraordinary battery life, and unrivaled display, M5 takes the new 14-inch MacBook Pro to another level.”
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 is available to pre-order today in space black and silver, and will be available beginning Wednesday, October 22 for $1599.
11-Inch and 13-Inch iPad Pro
Here are some of the features and upgrades with the new iPad models:
- Next-generation GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core for a boost in performance
- Up to 3.5x the AI performance than iPad Pro with M4 and up to 5.6x faster than iPad Pro with M1
- N1, the new Apple-designed wireless networking chip, enables the latest generation of wireless technologies with support for Wi-Fi 7 on iPad Pro
- C1X modem comes to cellular models of iPad Pro, delivering up to 50 percent faster cellular data performance

The new iPad Pro is available to pre-order today, and will be available beginning Wednesday, October 22.
