Do you own an Android TV or Android TV smart TV or Streaming player? You may soon get access to Android 13 and all of the updates it brings with it.

This week 9to5Google spotted that Android 13 would finally be available for Android TV powered devices.

Currently, the update has not started to roll out on Android TV devices yet. Nvidia Shield and Chromecast are the two best-known, but the developers behind these devices can now get started on preparing an update to roll out to their device owners.

Android TV mainly offers back-end improvements like HDMI input handling, audio, accessibility features, and more. You can find out all the changes coming with Android 13 on 9to5Google’s website HERE.

Google recently has started to replace Android TV with Google TV. For many, they may look similar, but under the hood, there are a lot of changes. It will be interesting to see how long Google keeps updating Android TV going forward.
