Amazon’s Fire TV Now Has 40 Million Active Users

Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote - Right

Today Amazon announced that the Amazon Fire TV now has more than 40 million active accounts. This is up from 34 million active users that were announced back in May 2019.

Amazon has been in a tough battle with Roku, Apple, and Google for streaming dominance. Although many of these streaming players are sold at cost or close to it, manufacturers do so as they get a cut of the ads and sales made on the device.

Amazon also announced today new Fire TV smart TVs, Fire TV soundbars, and Fire TVs for your car. Amazon is not showing any signs of slowing down. In 2018 Amazon announced a new 4K version of the streaming stick and a DVR for antennas built for the Fire TV. In 2019 Amazon announced a new Fire TV Cube. Now Amazon is expanding its Fire TV to cars and soundbars.
