Amazon unveiled an array of products under its Ring and Blink lines, including new cameras, as it renews its focus on home security.
The online retail giant introduced the Ring Stick Up Cam Pro, an upgrade to its popular Ring Stick Up Cam that introduces radar-powered 3D motion detection, offering users a visual history of movement around their homes.
It also unveiled the Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera, an upgraded version of its Blink Outdoor 4 with powerful lights, the Blink Sync Module Pro, which extends the coverage of your home beyond your WiFi router, and a battery extension pack that doubles the life of the device.
The products join the array of new products introduced by Amazon at its annual fall devices event. Fall is a popular time for tech events, with Apple having gone last week, and Microsoft and Google still to come. These companies are keen to get products in front of their consumers ahead of the critical holiday shopping season.
Past events have shown more experimental products from Amazon, including a flying Ring camera that patrols around the house called the Always Home Cam.
The Ring Stick Up Cam Pro costs $179.99 for battery and plug-in models, and $209.99 for a solar version.
The Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight camera costs $159.99, while the Blink Extension Pack costs $29.99. The Blink Sync Module Pro costs $49.99.
All of the devices aside from the Blink Sync Module Pro are available for preorder today. The Blink Sync Module Pro will be available for preorder early next year.
