Amazon Prime Video Add 5 New Free Holiday Channels As Freevee Shuts Down

Just in time for the holiday season, Amazon Prime Video is adding a festive lineup of free live TV channels to its offerings, bringing holiday cheer to viewers with a variety of seasonal programming. This comes as Freevee shuts down and its content moves to the Prime Video app, which is free for all.

New Holiday-Themed Channels

PBS Joins the Festivities

In addition to these holiday channels, Amazon is also expanding its partnership with PBS, bringing more than 150 local PBS stations and the PBS KIDS Channel to Prime Video as free ad-supported channels. This marks the first time this programming will be available for free on a major streaming service.

Furthermore, PBS Distribution will offer two new exclusive FAST channels – PBS Drama and PBS Documentaries – for a limited time starting November 26th. A rotating “pop-up” channel featuring classic PBS shows like “Reading Rainbow” will also be available.

Expanding Free Content Offerings

These new additions enhance Amazon’s already extensive library of free ad-supported television (FAST) channels available through Prime Video. This provides viewers with a diverse selection of programming, including news, entertainment, lifestyle, and now, a healthy dose of holiday cheer.

Accessibility and Value

These free channels are available to all even if you are not an Amazon Prime members, adding value to their subscription and providing a convenient way to access holiday entertainment. With a wide variety of festive programming to choose from, Amazon Prime Video is becoming a go-to destination for holiday viewing this season.
