FAQ:

How does One Medical differ from other primary care and urgent care practices?

One Medical aims to make health care easier to access and even enjoyable, while improving health outcomes for people across every stage of life. One Medical offers same and next-day in-office or remote visits, seamlessly paired with 24/7 on-demand virtual care services through the One Medical mobile or web app, allowing members to seek care when and where it’s most convenient to them. One Medical is designed to better serve the needs of its patients and providers, including through thoughtfully designed and welcoming offices across the U.S., appointments that start on-time, more appointment time with providers, and onsite labs. One Medical provides a comprehensive and human-centered primary care experience, including preventive and everyday health visits, chronic care management, pediatric and mental health services in a growing number of locations, and more. Members enjoy access to 24/7/365 virtual care services through the One Medical app, which allows them to continue their care from the comfort of home or on the go, whether it’s for acute needs at odd-hours, or to simply manage follow-up needs and prescription renewals.

What if I’m in a city or state without any One Medical locations?

One Medical continues to open new offices in new locations. Details around existing and upcoming locations can be found on the One Medical website.

Learn more about One Medical office locations

If you don’t have a One Medical location in your state, you can still sign up for a One Medical membership by selecting the geography closest to you when registering. You’ll be able to access virtual care features, such as 24/7 on-demand video chats and other digital care options available in the One Medical app. You will not, however, have access to in-person services unless you travel to a geography with a One Medical care office or until One Medical opens a care office near you.

Depending on your location, there may be requirements that One Medical sees you in-person or over video before providing virtual care to you. That means certain virtual services may not be available to you until you have an in-office or video-based visit with One Medical.

If you are eligible for a One Medical membership through your employer, you may be able to receive care even though you are not in a state with an in-person location. Contact One Medical for more information. To sign-up for One Medical using your employer benefits, visit the Sponsored Membership page on the One Medical website.
