Amazon is trying to get kids hooked on Echo early, and is tapping Disney and Marvel to help with its new Echo Pop Kids smart speakers.
The Echo Pop Kids are the latest iteration of its child-friendly smart speakers, following up on the popular Echo Dot Kid edition. The company unveiled the two versions, which employ images of Marvel’s Avengers and Disney princesses, respectively. The speakers cost $49.99, $10 less than the Echo Dot Kids Edition.
The Echo Pop Kids joins a lineup of devices and an upgraded version of Alexa that were unveiled at Amazon’s fall devices event on Wednesday.
The Echo Pop Kids also comes with six months of Amazon Kids+, which offers a bundle of programming and kids.
