Last year we learned that Amazon was working on a new Fire TV called the Fire TV Cube. Now AFTVnews has found a signup page to learn more about the Fire TV Cube.

Details are thin and all the page allows you to do is signup to be notified when more details are announced. Amazon did send AFTVnews a statement saying “This was not an announcement, just a Webpage. More details are coming soon.

Here is what was reported last year about the Fire TV cube:

The Fire TV cube is a different device from the current 2nd gen Fire TV. Gone is the familiar square Fire TV box. This new Fire TV has 4K HD and the look of an oversized Amazon Dot.

The new 3rd gen Fire TV has a built-in Amazon Alexa with all the buttons of an Amazon Echo Dot and a built-in speaker for voice commands. There is even an IR emitter that will likely work similarly to a Harmony Hub allowing the Fire TV to control other devices.

Pricing

The new Fire TV Cube is reportedly going to cost over $100.

One Thing to Note:

Look for this to be more than just a Fire TV. Look for Alexa to be a much bigger part of the Fire TV Cube than any previous Fire TV device.
