Today, Amazon announced that it is raising the price of Amazon Kids+ monthly subscriptions. Customers who subscribe to the yearly annual subscription will continue to pay the same $48 a month. The price of Amazon Kids+ is going up from $4.99 a month to $5.99 today for new customers and on or after July 8, 2024, on your next billing cycle.
With Amazon Kids+, you get access to kid-friendly content targeting kids from 3 to 12 years old. This includes content from places like Disney, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, Marvel, Lego, and more. You get access to games, music, books, an more all set for specific age ranges for kids.
Update: An Amazon spokesperson has sent Cord Cutters News this statement. “Amazon Kids+ offers a fantastic value to both kids and parents, including thousands of ad-free games, books, podcasts, music and apps, as well as industry-leading parental controls. There are many things that go into the pricing of a digital product, including the rising costs that come with delivering the high-quality, ad-free content that our members expect. While we’re making an adjustment to the monthly cost of Amazon Kids+ for Prime members to support our continued investment in the Amazon Kids+ experience, we continue to offer Amazon Kids+ to Prime members at a meaningfully lower price than other customers and are not changing the cost of an annual subscription.”

As of June 5, 2024, we have changed the Amazon Kids+ Prime member price of our Monthly plan from $4.99 to $5.99 per month. The Prime member price of our Annual plan will remain the same at $48 per year. The new monthly price, plus applicable taxes, will apply on or after July 8, 2024 on the date of your next billing cycle. We will continue to provide families with the fun, learning, and peace of mind that comes from thousands of ad-free, age-appropriate apps, videos, games and books, kid-specific Alexa experiences, and easy-to-use parental controls.
