Today, Amazon announced a series of updates designed to improve the user experience on Fire TV devices. The changes focus on providing clearer information about content availability, streamlining search results, and enhancing integration with popular streaming services.

One of the most significant changes addresses a longstanding user complaint: difficulty distinguishing between free content and content requiring purchase or rental. Amazon promises to make it easier to identify what’s included with existing subscriptions and what’s available for separate purchase.

Search functionality also receives an upgrade with the introduction of a “Top Results” row. This row prioritizes the most popular apps, shows, and movies based on search queries, helping users quickly find what they’re looking for.

Fire TV further strengthens its streaming ecosystem by partnering with Disney+. Users will soon be able to resume watching their favorite Disney+ shows and movies directly from the Fire TV home screen, joining other existing services like Hulu, Tubi, Freevee, and STARZ in the “Continue Watching” section.

These improvements are expected to roll out to most Fire TV devices in the near future if you don’t already have them, offering users a more intuitive and convenient streaming experience.
