Amazon for years now has been promoting cord cutting. Now Amazon is stepping up these efforts with a new initiative to educate Americans about cord cutting.

This new “Free Your TV” campaign is designed to educate about cord cutting while promoting Amazon’s products to make the transition from cable to streaming easier.

Now on Amazon.com, you will find a section dedicated to freeing your TV with guides like “Cord Cutting 101” and “Get Started With Streaming.” Look for tips about saving money, setting up your devices, finding your favorite content, and more.

Amazon seems to be hoping that by educating Americans about the benefits of streaming, it will help both their Fire TV sales and streaming sales. Amazon is doing this by promoting how the Fire TV, Fire TV Recast DVR, and other Amazon services can help Americans cut the cord and save money.

Amazon wants to help customers get all their entertainment, all in one place by highlighting these five benefits of cord cutting with an Amazon device.

  • Flexible – watch what you love, on-demand or live.
  • Premium – get award-winning content without a cable subscription.
  • Live & Local – keep your sports, news, and shows with Live TV streaming services.
  • Value – access music apps, Alexa, smart home, and more from one device.
  • Simplicity – easy setup and universal search are just the start.
