Amazon Studios is in the final stages of cementing a deal with Paramount Pictures for it’s upcoming Tom Clancy thriller Without Remorse, Variety reports. If the deal goes through, the Michael B. Jordan thriller would add to Amazon’s notoriety as a competitive platform for major films.
This will be the second film Amazon Studios has acquired during the pandemic. The David Bautista action-comedy My Spy debuted on the streaming service in June. Without Remorse will also be the second Tom Clancy adaptation to land at the streamer. The Amazon Original series Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski is one of the platforms popular shows.

The film will star Michael B. Jordan as Tom Clancy’s ex-US Navy Seal character John Clark, with Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith and Luke Mitchell as co-stars. It’s directed by Stefano Sollima.
With the COVID-19 pandemic shuttering theaters around the globe, it’s forcing the hand of film studios to sell off movie rights to streaming services rather than introduce them at the box office. Paramount recently sold The Lovebirds and The Trial of the Chicago Seven to Netflix.
