Amazon Instant App on Roku updated for many today with a new Auto play feature. This update comes after a series of updates for the Roku app. Recently Amazon added a new loading and pause screen to the Roku version. Amazon also has made many improvements to the performance of the Roku app in the last few months
The new auto play feature seams to play 2 or 3 shows and stop auto playing the next episode. (We are still testing out the new app.) If you click the ok button it will jump to the next episode and auto play for a bit again. The inclusion of an auto stop is a nice addition for many cord cutters with data caps. It is unclear if all Roku devices will get the update but we have confirmed that Roku 1, 2, and 3 received the update today. If your Roku has not updated the app yet go to your system update and check for an update to receive the new app.
No official press release or update notes have been released from Amazon at this time, so full details of the update are unknown.
