This is an expansion of the Amazon discounted Prime service for Americans on government assistance launched back in 2017. Any Prime members with an EBT card can get Prime for $5.99 also. Now though anyone receiving Medicaid can also take advantage of the program as long as you have a Medicaid card Amazon says.
