The company behind the over-the-air TV network Bounce TV recently launched a streaming service called Brown Sugar. The new service will focus on the African-American community according to its VP of Digital Content Calandria Meadows.
Brown Sugar costs $3.99 a month and comes with about 300 titles with a mix of movies and TV shows. It offers current shows and classics such as “Shaft” and “Foxy Brown.” Brown Sugar also reported that it plans to expand into original content.
Now you can find Brown Sugar on Amazon Channels expanding their support to Amazon devices and apps across a wide range of devices.
Katz, which owns Bounce TV, also owns Escape TV, Grit TV, and Laff TV. Recently Katz was sold to Scripps but will maintain the same CEO and will continue to be produced in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
