Back in August, Amazon announced that it had launched Fire TV Channels, a new one-stop shop for free content from over 400 providers in a single app. Now this is not Amazon Free but a different app that aggregates content from a wide range of providers, including MLB Fox News, CBS News, NHL, Fox Weather, Nascar, and more, into a single spot.
Now, Amazon has added Fire TV Channels to the Echo Show models, including the Echo Show 5, 8, 10, and 15 models. You can find the Fire TV Channels on your Echo Show by asking Alexa to “Open Fire TV Channels.”

When first launched this new feature was only available on Fire TV streaming players. Now it has started to roll out to new devices including the Echo Show.

In fact, today we’re announcing new content providers, including Variety, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, and TV Line from Penske Media Corporation; GameSpot, Honest Trailers, and TV Guide from Fandom; Looper, Slash Film, and Nicki Swift from Static Media; along with Funny or Die and Outside” Amazon said in a statement on their website.
To find this content ask Alexa to “Play Fire TV Channels” to open the app and browse free content. The the Fire TV streaming player you can also navigate to Fire TV’s ‘Your Apps & Channels’ screen and click the Fire TV Channels app. Once you’ve used the app, you can quickly find it again in the Recently Used Apps row on your Home screen. Amazon says you can also find this content on the home screen just scroll down until you find the rows labeled Fire TV Channels.
