Amazon today announced a significant expansion of its Echo Show lineup with the introduction of Echo Show 21, its largest smart display yet. The company also unveiled a refreshed Echo Show 15 with enhanced features and capabilities.
Responding to customer feedback, Amazon focused on improving audio quality and expanding screen real estate for an even more immersive and informative experience. Both the Echo Show 15 for $299.99 and Echo Show 21 for $399.99 now boast improved sound with deeper bass and room adaptation technology, along with upgraded auto-framing cameras for clearer video calls.
“Customers particularly loved these devices for household organization and streaming video content,” said an Amazon spokesperson. “This inspired us to create an entirely new type of smart display with Echo Show 15—a beautiful wall-mountable ambient device that fits in naturally with any home décor and elevated what customers enjoy most about Echo Show and Fire TV.”
Echo Show 21 boasts nearly double the viewing area of Echo Show 15, providing ample space for glanceable information, entertainment, and smart home control. Both devices feature a built-in smart home hub with Matter compatibility, enabling seamless control of various smart home devices.
Key features and upgrades include:
- Enhanced audio: Improved sound quality with deeper bass and room adaptation technology.
- Upgraded camera: Wider field of view and enhanced zoom capabilities for better video calls.
- Wi-Fi 6E: Faster and smoother streaming experiences for video and music.
- Household organization: Widgets for calendars, to-do lists, shopping lists, and more.
