Beautiful fashion girl learning on line with a tablet and headphones sitting on a bench in the streetEvery wish you could change a song our skip forward on Amazon Music without needing to pick up your phone? Now you can do just that with a new update to Amazon Music that adds hands-free Alexa support.

Alexa was first added to Amazon Music a few months ago. Yet you still had to physically pick your phone, open the Amazon Music app, and click on the Alexa icon. Now you have the option to enable a hand free Alexa allowing you to control Amazon music just by saying “Alexa play the next song.”

Here are a few voice commands you can try:

  • Alexa, play Rock from the 80s.
  • Alexa, play music for bedtime.
  • Alexa, play the new foo fighters album.
  • Alexa, play the next song.

Now, this is a feature you have to turn on in the settings. This is an optional feature so if you don’t want this feature your Amazon Music app will continue to work just like it always does.  In the settings, you will find new Alexa section with an option to enable hands-free with Alexa.
