A few weeks ago we reported that Sling TV was working on a second gen Air TV device. Now we get some new details of what it can do.
According to a new app called “AirTV: Watch Local TV Anywhere” that briefly appeared in the Amazon app store and was spotted by AFTVnews you will be able to stream your antenna from the air TV device to other devices like the Fire TV.
No longer will you need one antenna for each TV but with the AirTV 2 and Sling TV you can watch your antenna around the world.
The Product Description on the listing said:
AirTV connects OTA antenna with your WiFi network to deliver local OTA channels to every Internet-connected TV and device in and outside your home. Say goodbye to the biggest problems associated with OTA antennas like wiring multiple rooms and inconvenient antenna positions. With AirTV, you can mount your antenna wherever it gets the best signal, then instantly stream the TV you love to an Internet-connected TV or device – no matter where you are.

From looking at the listing it also looks like Sling TV is working on an app that will work with the Air TV even if you do not have a Sling TV account. The listing also says if you have a Sling TV account you can stream your antenna into the Sling TV app you have today.
Details are still thin but as best we can tell Sling TV will launch the Air TV 2 at CES 2018. Cord Cutters News will be at CES and will do our best to have full coverage of everything new related to cord cutting.
