The biggest fight card in UFC history isn’t finished making headlines just yet. After drawing millions of viewers to its unprecedented event on the South Lawn of the White House, UFC Freedom 250 is getting the documentary treatment.
FOX Nation has announced “UFC Fight House: The Making of the Biggest Fight in History,” an exclusive behind-the-scenes special that promises to show how one of the most ambitious sporting events ever attempted came together.
Set to premiere Thursday, July 2, exclusively on FOX Nation, UFC Fight House focuses on everything that happened before the first punch was thrown. Viewers will get unprecedented access to the planning, construction, logistics, and personalities responsible for transforming the White House grounds into a world championship fight venue.
The special follows UFC CEO Dana White and his team as they navigate the challenges of producing an event unlike anything the promotion has ever attempted, featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and moments fans didn’t see during the live broadcast.
“The creation of UFC Freedom 250 was unlike any event we’ve ever undertaken,” White said in the announcement. “This documentary captures the vision, the obstacles, and the relentless work that made history possible. Fans will finally see what it really took to pull this off.”
FOX Nation President Lauren Petterson called the documentary “an exclusive look at one of the most ambitious live sporting events ever produced.” She added that the special showcases “the incredible team behind UFC Freedom 250 and the determination required to bring such a historic event to life.”
The White House Became UFC’s Biggest Stage Yet
The June event marked the first UFC card ever held on the White House grounds and served as one of the centerpiece celebrations surrounding America’s 250th anniversary. The card was available exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States as part of UFC’s new streaming partnership.
The production itself was massive, requiring months of planning, custom-built staging, extensive security coordination, and one of the largest event setups UFC has ever assembled. UFC executives previously compared the logistical challenge to previous landmark events like UFC Fight Island and Noche UFC at Sphere in Las Vegas.
Despite the enormous production costs, the event delivered significant audiences for Paramount. According to the UFC, Freedom 250 reached 34 million total global viewers, including 17 million viewers across the United States and Latin America, making it the most-watched event in UFC history and the largest live event ever streamed on Paramount+.
The event also appeared to generate immediate interest in Paramount’s streaming platform. Following the fights, industry data showed Paramount experienced a 276% spike in app downloads, highlighting how valuable exclusive live sports continue to be for streaming services. Meanwhile, Paramount’s FAST service, Pluto TV, expanded its free UFC programming ahead of the event to help build interest among fans before fight night.
Leading up to Freedom 250, Dana White set expectations sky-high. While promoting the event, White predicted the White House card would generate “Super Bowl numbers” for Paramount+, emphasizing that he believed it would become one of the biggest sporting events ever streamed. The final audience didn’t quite reach that level.
For comparison, the 17 million U.S. and Latin American viewers reported by UFC represented a historic success for the MMA promotion, but it remained well below the more than 120 million viewers that typically watch the Super Bowl in the United States alone. Even with the reported 34 million global viewers, the event fell far short of White’s ambitious pre-fight prediction. Yet it still generated significant buzz and delivered a record audience for Paramount’s new UFC partnership.
