Looking to add a little thrill to your Monday nights? Acorn TV‘s original dark, twisted thriller Blood is returning with series 2 rolling out new episodes every Monday night from March 9 through April 6, 2020.
The acclaimed psychological Irish drama stars BAFTA-nominated actor Adrian Dunbar as the Jim Hogan as the lead role.
In this new series, Dr. Jim Hogan (Adrian Dunbar) returns home a year later stripped of his medical license and his once-stellar reputation because of the suspicious death of his wife, determined to make amends and reconnect with his family. But his eldest daughter, Fiona (Gràinne Keenan, Victoria, The Foreigner) suffers from the same debilitating illness as her mother, and has a troubled marriage to cash-strapped husband Paul (Ian Lloyd Anderson, Love/Hate).
At first Jim can’t find employment in the town, so Paul helps him get a job at the farm he works at – but when they both witness some criminal activity in the barn, Jim’s path to redemption hits a roadblock. Things worsen when Fiona gets injured when her car plunges into a canal, and everyone is shocked to the core when they learn there’s a dead body in the trunk.
