AccuWeather NOW, a free ad-supported streaming channel, is now available to Xfinity customers on X1 and the Xfinity Stream App.
Xfinity customers can access AccuWeather’s “Superior Accuracy” forecasts through the cable provider’s devices and platforms, including weather videos, social weather content from popular platforms, and stories highlighting the potential impact forecasted weather can have on sports, health, travel plans, and other outdoor activities. The streaming channel showcases all major weather events, upcoming and historical, and also highlights weather from around the world.
AccuWeather provides up-to-date weather coverage and forecasts. Over the last 60 years, the channel has helped keep people informed of upcoming storms, how to avoid dangerous conditions, and prepare for major natural disasters. It’s become one of the most recognized and trusted weather forecasts and a go-to destination for accurate weather warnings and advisories.
AccuWeather Chief Executive Officer Steven R. Smith said joining forces with Xfinity provides customers complete access to accurate weather forecasts by integrating live, linear, and on-demand television in one place.
“As weather and climate news becomes increasingly important to people’s lives, AccuWeather NOW is the first FAST channel dedicated to weather news to be integrated on X1 and Stream, providing the detailed, accurate weather information that people need to help them plan their day and keep their families safe,” said Smith.
Find AccuWeather NOW in the channel guide, so users just need to say “AccuWeather” or “AccuWeather NOW” into their voice remote to pull up the channel. It’s also under recently watched channels and X1’s news section.
AccuWeather NOW is available to everyone through Xfinity Stream, regardless of whether they have an Xfinity TV subscription. The channel is included on Comcast’s new ad-supported streaming platform NOW TV, which includes more than 40 live channels, over 20 free ad-supported channels, and a free subscription to Peacock Premium. AccuWeather is also available on DIRECTV, Philo, Fubo, Frndly TV, Roku, Xumo, Red Box, Rockbot, and Amazon Freevee.
