Have you gone into your YouTube account to find it shows you are paying for Primetime channels when you are not? You are not alone as what seems to be a glitch that shows people subscribed to NBA TV and other channels.
Primetime channels let customers pay YouTube for access to premium content like NBA TV to stream directly through YouTube. These include channels like Law&Crime Network, NBA TV, NFL, and more. You can also sign up to pay for streaming services through YouTube, like STARZ and AMC+, to list a few, and watch them in the YouTube app.
Even though YouTube shows that you may have purchased NBA TV and, in our case, a second channel called VSiN. When we click on the channels, it clearly shows we are not paying for these channels.
This glitch has been reported by multiple readers who say YouTube is now showing them as if they purchased access to Primetime channels even when they have not.
We are not sure exactly what is causing the issue, and Google has not commented on what is causing it or any timeline for a fix. For now, though, it seems that customers showing the channel purchased are not being charged for the channel, including NBA TV.
Cord Cutters News has reached out to YouTube for comment and will update our story as we learn more.
